Doctor's Profile

                                                                 Dr. D. Padmavathi

Medical Care, a term that is sending shivers down the spines of people these days. Nowadays, a
conception that doctors loot money from their patients using the names of diseases as a pretense is
widely prevalent. Even in this precarious situation, Dr. D .Padmavathi  , one of the few renowned
Gynecologists in Hyderabad, stands out as a symbol of belief for her patients. It’s with this strong belief
in her that allows her to provide medical care in Padmapriya Hospitals, Sheetal Nursing Home along
with Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills.

Obtaining her M.B.B.S Degree from Kurnool Medical College (batch of 1989-95), Dr. D. Padmavathi
completed an M.D. in Gynecology from the renowned Manipal Kasturba Medical College in the batch
of 1995-98. Then, she received sound training in the usage of Ultrasound Scanning in the year 1999 at
Chennai and after its completion in 2000, received training in the Infertility and Laparoscopic fields in
Cochin. Thereafter, she worked as a Senior Consultant Gynecologist in Main Hospital, Kothagudem of
Telangana state until the year 2004. In 2004, she shifted to Hyderabad, where she continues to give
proper medical care to numerous patients till date. Over the years, she became an Honorary
Consultant in Apollo and Yashoda Hospitals and as a Consultant in St. Theresa’s and Vivekananda
Hospitals besides being a D.N.B Guide since 2005.
Her work ethics and the quality in her work cannot be described by just her qualifications and not
even in words. She might be called on as one of the few specialist doctors in Hyderabad who can work
through a safe delivery method for High Risk Pregnancy. Also, her work in surgical methods such as
Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Vaginal Hysterectomy, Tumor Removal along
with her way of dealing with IUI(Intra Uterus Insemination) for infertility cases, Pre- Menopause and
Post-Menopause issues has been received with wide acclaim from the prominent members of the
society.

All this aside, she is and will always be a loving and caring mother of a child and no one understands
the problems of a budding mother better than the one who is already serving as a role model for a
mother. She never leaves any patient who has called for her help unattended even in the middle of the
night. She is considered as a deity by many people residing in the areas of Motinagar, Rajeev Nagar,
Borabanda, Parvat Nagar, Venkatagiri and Yousufguda. She earned a name for herself as he who
always thinks for the best concerning the welfare of her patients and as a one who always puts the
needs of the patients well before her own. She has been appraised on many occasions on her sincerity
to her work, never known to laundering money from her patients on the pretense of some or the other
diseases. She is well known for her persistence in avoiding the Surgical method of Delivery until the last
possible moment to avoid any discomfort to her patients, thereby, earning rich accolades from the
lower middle class and the poor section of the society.
While all comes to an end, there a last but certainly not the least topic. As the saying goes, there is a
woman behind every man’s success, in contrast, Dr. D. Padmavathi has her husband Dr. D. Rama Rao
behind her in every important moment of her life, thick and thin through her successes and failures ,
garnishing her for her successes and providing moral fiber to stay positive during a failure. Everything
in their lives they have been through together.

We do so in an environment of genuine care, warmth and support for patients attending Padmapriya Hospital.

Infertility is a condition of the reproductive system that prevents the conception of children. It affects approximately 10-15% of couples throughout the United States. The diagnosis of infertility is usually given to couples who have been attempting to conceive for at least 1 year without success.

Is infertility primarily a woman’s problem?

It is a common assumption that infertility is primarily related to the woman. In reality, only one-third of infertility cases are related to the woman alone. Statistically, one-third of infertility problems are related to men and the remaining one-third is a combination of fertility factors involving both partners or unknown causes. Unknown causes account for approximately twenty percent of infertility cases.

What causes infertility in men?

The most common causes of male infertility are azoospermia (no sperm cells are produced) and oligospermia (few sperm cells are produced).  Sometimes, sperm cells are malformed or they die before they can reach the egg. In rare cases, infertility in men is caused by a genetic disease such as cystic fibrosis or a chromosomal abnormality.

What causes infertility in women?

The most common cause of female infertility is ovulation disorders.  Problems with ovulation affect about 25% of all infertility situations.  Other causes of female infertility include blocked fallopian tubes, which can happen when a woman has had pelvic inflammatory disease or endometriosisCongenital anomalies (birth defects) involving the structure of the uterus, and uterine fibroids which are associated with repeated miscarriages; and aging, since the ability for ovaries to produce eggs tends to decline with age, especially after the age of 35.

“Our unrivalled private healthcare”

Welcome to Padmapriya Hospital. As one of the efficient private hospitals in Hyderabad, we provide the highest standard of clinical expertise and nursing care. By offering the latest technology, and state-of-the-art hospital facilities we provide rapid assessment, intervention and treatment for numerous common and complex conditions. Patients receive customized, individual care. This has made Padmapriya Hospital the hospital of choice for all kinds of patients.

Expanding opportunities for lower-income women to access affordable, high quality maternal care is at the heart of Padmapriya Hospitals. The cost of traditional private hospitals is out of reach of many Hyderabadis. Yet, public hospitals’ free services often compromise quality, transparency, efficiency, and attitude towards the customers. Women are increasingly choosing to give birth at a private hospital, but often have to take out loans or sell assets to finance their choice of receiving adequate care.

Padmapriya’s mission grew out of this deep deficiency and in response to women’s demand for an alternative. In this vein, Padmapriya provides its customers with choices and care that recognize their dignity. With its expanding chain of affordable, high quality maternal hospitals, Padmapriya has taken on the challenge to provide innovative solutions for women. Through Padmapriya’s model of small hospitals (20-25 beds) and prices significantly below market rates, Padmapriya has achieved financial sustainability and social impact. Padmapriya aims to serve as a model for providing high quality maternal services to the poor in Hyderabad and two telugu states.

Padmapriya’s model uses a market-based approach to achieve sustainability and scale. It utilizes a cross-subsidy model of tiered pricing that enables Padmapriya to charge low prices for the general ward, which makes up 70% of each hospital.  The first Padmapriya Hospital opened in 2005 in the motinagar of Hyderabad.  it broke even and became profitable in less than two years of operation. Through its process-driven model, each Padmapriya Hospital is easily replicable in other locations, ensuring scalability and supporting rapid expansion.

Padmapriya's Mission

“To be the leading health care provider delivering high quality, affordable core maternal health care to low-income mothers across two telugu states.”

Padmapriya 's Quality Policy

“Padmapriya Hospitals exist to provide women with high quality health care at an affordable price. We commit to meet our customers’ needs and exceeding their expectations by making continual improvements in all we do.”
